Participants will learn practical techniques for a thorough exterior review to ensure no water penetration, followed by an interior assessment to identify and mitigate heat loss.
The course covers essential roof maintenance, including inspecting and repairing loose shingles, along with cleaning gutters and installing gutter guards to ensure proper water drainage. It also addresses critical steps for exterior pipe protection, such as turning off exterior faucets and installing heating cables. Emphasis is placed on enhancing energy efficiency through window and door weather stripping and topping up attic insulation. Finally, the course details how to clear paths for water runoff, manage overhanging tree limbs, and seal gaps and cracks to create a truly resilient and energy-efficient home.
