catastrophes
This comprehensive educational series provides a high-level framework for navigating large-scale disasters and hazardous environments. The curriculum begins with Catastrophe Management & Risk Assessment, where participants explore the lifecycle of a disaster, from the coordinated response of insurance carriers and first responders to the practical steps for personal home preparedness. By mastering risk assessment tools, learners can identify structural and topographical vulnerabilities before they are put to the test by real-world events.
The series then shifts into the technical complexities of Environmental Hazards and Natural Disasters, covering the science and safety protocols associated with asbestos, lead, mold, and oil spills, as well as the unique structural threats posed by wildfires, landslides, floods, and earthquakes. To conclude, the Response & PPE module focuses on the "boots on the ground" reality of restoration, teaching the meticulous science of abatement, decontamination, and the proper use of specialized safety gear. This course path ensures that whether you are mitigating a biological hazard or a regional earthquake, you have the procedural knowledge to maintain safety and structural integrity.
How do we prepare, How do we mitigate, how do we do risk assessments. How do insurance and first responder’s initiate responses, how to be prepared in your your own home.
